The 8gb modules were released after the Macbook was manufactured. Apple never retroactively updates their info as they rather sell you a new MacBook Pro! The 16gb will definitely work in this MacBook Pro, we've sold hundreds of them into thi model with no issues. Here is the link for the correct 16gb kit. So I diagnose.
